Okay--I'm working on grays. And it's tough.
I have to say, too, that there's a print in the Walker book that I absolutely love, and I would so like to be able to make images like that. And it's all about the lines--the white lines--building up the figure. So.....I'll study it more, and we'll see.
This is #22, and it's 4" X 6".

I can see your struggle. It is so different in linocuts than on paper with pen and ink :-)) I'm curious where it brings you. Keep going!!! I love this one and the grays in the background.

ReplyDeleteCan't tell you how happy I am that you stopped by my blog - because now I have found you!! Your series of faces is remarkable. I love every one of them. This is a medium that I totally admire. I think its hugely difficult and you are amazing :) I'm looking forward to following you now.
ReplyDeleteWonderful work. I love the expression and the way you have done the shading is very effective:)
ReplyDeleteVery expressive. I really like your work.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how you can look at something and look at something and only start to understand it as you work through it. I am always baffled at how long it take me to learn.
