Up from the Swamp

I had no intentions of making a zombie picture. I HATE zombie movies, and now the new proliferation of zombie books. Why would I want to watch something like that, or read something like that, or now, make a picture about something like that?

But alas, the topic was "swamp", and being the people-drawing person that I am, that means a person in a swamp, and really, that sortof ends up looking kindof zombie-ish, or at least a little demented. It was fun, though..... (and I'm not going to make a label for zombies).

  4. Your illustrations are beautiful and so nicely drawn. I do a lot of charcoal drawings but I have just bought myself a crow quill pen and ink and I'm glad I visited your blog because it inspires me :) Thank you for the comment you left on my blog for 'Vocal'.

  6. oh, I guess I am a zombie fan, at least by default because my husband and son love all things Zombie and they sucked me into watching The Walking Dead and now I am hooked on it. :O Thanks so much for your visit and kind comment :) I love your Zombie-ish illustration, even if it wasn't intentional.

  7. Okay...now you made me laugh...funny funny! I don't think he's a zombie... he's a ticked off dad...in the swamp...screaming at his kids who are flinging mud all over him. He was just trying to tie his shoes...at the picnic...then he sunk into the mud...and the kids thought it was funny...so there they went...taking advantage of poor old dad. No. He's no zombie. I don't like zombie's either. My husband does though. Strange guy.

  8. Yeah, I'm not so much a zombie person either. But aside from being a zombie, it really has so much great line and texture work. I like the splatter effect you've worked in as well.
