Shades in your Mind

What do you see when you close your eyes? What anxieties and worries are always there, preying on your peace of mind, that you don't notice when you are busy? But when you take a moment and shut your eyes, they clench at your stomach, and twist your mind, and the world seems an impossible and tangled place indeed.

But if I remember to breathe, I can feel the strain dissipating, the shoulders relaxing, the world becoming calmer. When I remember to breathe, I am more aware of the here and now, the place where I am right now, and nowhere else, and this is where I need to be when I open my eyes as well.

  4. Ah she is so serene, the wind looks like it is rushing through her hair, and those particles of ink are like those worries you were talking about, you have caught them just as the blow away and out of her life. Apart from the all the movement in this, you have really caught that sen like negative space - just the right balance . And your words - how close to poetryprose they are! And so true as well of course.

You know a great way to relax - do w eights and count - well us mean can't do two things at once so you forget all your worried because you are two busy being worried that you will forget your count :) :)

As for my lighting! :) :) Hey you are far too observant!!! Heh, no getting away with anything here. I think there were five lights (one behind that back chair to get a back light on the back, wall, then the main light to throw the shadows on the wall of the hand puppetry, then a spot light doing a rim light on the boy, then one on the flowers - because thhey were just a silhoette , and then one on the dog on the RHS - gee, you must have looked very hard to see that _ I am so impressed!!

Ahh running through the woods - so beautiful - wouldn't it be grande to have th best of both worlds ?

see y ou from Oz :)

  7. SO true - I can see the stress dissipating from her face in the illustration as if it is being blown away in a single breath. A good cup of tea also helps... that and sleep... and chocolate.... :)
