Illustration Friday: Brave

Okay, I have to admit that this is not really a "brave" picture. Since it's been so long since I posted to Illustration Friday, I just really really wanted to post the picture I finished yesterday. So I'll call it "brave."
It's brave to surrender yourself to your music, to joy, brave because you make yourself vulnerable to the world, which may perhaps not be kind.

  2. She is so lost in her music that she leaves herself vulnerable-- brave, indeed!

  3. I think it's perfect for 'brave'; if you played the violin as badly as I did, you would certainly have said I was brave to play in public (still makes me feel like running away!).

  4. Gorgeous, has a nineteenth century romanticsim feel to it. Have you seen the film The Red violin?
