Illustration Friday: Shadow
Hardingfele (or hardanger fiddle) music seems to me to come deep from the shadowy nights of Norwegian winters. Every summer I get to spend four days at the Hardanger Fiddle Association of America's workshops, listening to, dancing to, and playing this marvelous, haunting, meandering music, and I've finally gotten around to making a picture to try to capture some of that feeling. Here's a link to the Hardanger Fiddle Association of America website, if you're interested in checking it out: http://www.hfaa.org/ They have some good YouTube links.
