The Illustration Friday topic is "Sky". Oh well. This was an attempt. I changed the obnoxious black splatters to white. They were too heavy. It's still awkward. I might try another one.
Well...the first couple were accidental, and to try to make them look not-accidental, I added some more, but they came down way too heavily, and....well....it actually looks prett y stupid.
Hey! I don't think the splotches look out of place. I think they give the sense of the joy of music - it's almsot like the horn player is controlling the elements - I like it very much,- I'm sorry I had the comments turned off on the blog - I didn't have enough time to visit anyone and thought it was only fair - cheers from ear :)
The figure is excellent. I will admit to not knowing how to take the splotches, lol, but your drawings are always so cool! Great contrasts.

ReplyDeleteThis is very cool - I like the splotches, they give it more of a surreal look.

DeleteI really like this! And the splotches definitely don't take away from anything... I think they add to it!
ReplyDeleteI like the composition here...and the dramatic perspective. It is always a pleasure to see your posts!

ReplyDeleteThe splotches look great on the computer, however they look on the actual piece. I like this a lot.
