It so feels like fall, and fall is the time of opportunities. It's 72F in the afternoons, and 48F at night, perfect sleeping weather and perfect going outside weather. Yesterday after school, I swam laps, walked the dog in the woods, did some yoga, and started three little portraits. They all made me really happy, even though I don't think this turned out all that great. It was the PROCESS that made me happy.
Love this--love the wash and the speckles, along with the crosshatching. Glad the process was a good one.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the way...with the process! Glad they got you feeling good! This illo is very autumn-y nice! Get's me in the mood for leaves! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really great! I don't think if you might know this. But we had an english lesson wayy back in 7th grade, The gumdrop affair. The lead role was a detecitive called Addison Barnaby and his illustration in the book looked exactly like this!:) And what's more ironic is a famous dialogue of his: "Everybody looks like somebody else" :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work though!
You're being too hard on yourself! The picture is wonderful!
