Sketches from Trip

But I guess I have made a few sketches in my sketchbook. Here's a selection of sketches from the two trips I took this summer, a total of four weeks gone. I guess they're uploading in reverse order (I never can remember what order I have to do that). But now I'm really ready to work on projects again. It's just so dang HOT that all of my energy and initiative is totally sapped, even though I'm inside in the air-conditioning. Or maybe that's the problem, because I CAN'T go outside without baking, I'm turning into a jellyfish. I need to go running, garden, swim laps, walk, and it's just unbearable (I'm not a summer person at all, even though I have summers off).

  2. Enjoyed your sketches, they have such a relaxed spontaneous feel to them. Maybe because they were done during summer trips? I'm feeling lazy too, I blame the heat.

  3. These are wonderful. I hadn't realized how far I've gotten behind, but loved going through your recent posts too.

  4. I love the cross hatching throughout, but I really enjoy the composition on the bottom sketch, gorgeous sinking into the couch and beautiful foot in the foreground. Very nice.

Thanks you for visiting my blog and commenting, I appreciate the thoughts and that it brought me here to see your work.

  5. Your sketches are awesome! I never get tired of admiring all the lines... so full of "life" and expression. Just like Alicia commented above, I too love particularly the no 2 and last one (7)... the perspective and composition are amazing! Another of my fav is no 3, the faces... just beautiful!!
