So here's the third one. I'm pretty pleased. I think I'll make all three of these into cards, though I don't know if I'll give them to the people in the pictures, because they don't very much look like them. I took liberties.....
Here's another dancing picture. I started four all at once. This one taught me (reminded me, really, because I DID know this before) to not do things in the negative space that you're not going to do in the positive space so that you don't have the negative space being one kind of thing and the positive space being another.
Having said that, though, I do love the dancing couple.....
Cultivate joy in all you do! I had the pleasure of attending a period ball this weekend, and was amazed all over again about the joy in the dancers. EVERYONE was smiling as they danced. They beamed at each other, and I thought, "YES! This is the way that all of life should be." Dance is a good way to do that.
(The image looks much better if you click on it to make it larger.)
I can't say as I particularly like it. I was trying something new, and it wasn't working AT ALL, so I started adding pen, which helped some, but not, perhaps, enough. Ugh.
Well, someone finally told me to quit drawing them. I've been drawing people at meetings for years, and no one has ever said anything, or looked uncomfortable, but today someone did. She said that it was creepy and to cut it out. I was quite taken aback. And now I feel self-conscious about it. I've been doing it for years..... Do you think most people don't like it?
More sketches done at school, when things were a little slow. I spent maybe 20 - 30 minutes on each one. There's nothing terribly exciting about them, but it seems like a long time since I've made anything.
